Casino Hold’em is a poker table where you play against the dealer, and every hand follows the same five steps from ante to showdown. The rules below come from three documents, named at each step: the ACT Gambling and Racing Commission’s approved rules for Canberra Casino Hold-em Poker, the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s live casino rules, and Evolution’s own game page. For where this table sits in the lobby, see the JILI1 live casino section.

A hand of casino hold em in five steps

  1. Place the ante. You must stake an ante to take part, and you may add a side bet.
  2. Receive two cards. Each player and the dealer get two hole cards (ACT); on Nevada’s live table yours show face up and the dealer’s stay face down.
  3. Call or fold on the flop. The dealer deals the first three community cards, and you call with exactly twice your ante or fold and lose the ante (ACT).
  4. Turn, river and reveal. If at least one player called, the dealer deals the rest of the community cards and reveals the hidden cards (Nevada); your hand is the best five of your two cards and the five community cards (Evolution).
  5. Settle. Compare hands and pay by the rules in the sections below.

For example, a ₱100 ante needs a ₱200 call, so a hand you play to the end puts ₱300 on the table. That is arithmetic on the ACT rule, not a figure from a lobby table.

Which document each rule comes from

The ACT document is a land-based casino rule set, so Evolution’s live table may differ from it on some details. Your table’s rules panel states what applies.

Dealer qualifying and settlement

The ACT rules say the dealer’s hand must have a pair of fours or higher to qualify. Nevada’s live document says the dealer’s qualification is examined and gives no threshold.

  1. Dealer does not qualify: the ACT rules say the antes win. Read your table’s rules panel for how the call wager is settled.
  2. Dealer qualifies, your hand is higher: ante and call both win.
  3. Dealer qualifies, your hand is lower: both lose.
  4. Equal hands: both are void and returned.

The call is always paid 1 to 1. On Nevada’s live table, a player who does not call in the time given is folded automatically and loses the ante.

The ante paytable

The ACT rules and Nevada’s live rules print the same ante paytable.

Winning handAnte pays
Royal flush100 to 1
Straight flush20 to 1
Four of a kind10 to 1
Full house3 to 1
Flush2 to 1
Anything else1 to 1

The ACT document subjects the paytable to a table maximum payout. Evolution’s page says players can win up to 100 to 1, which matches the royal flush row.

The AA side bet

The AA bet looks at your two cards and the flop together, and it pays when they hold a pair of aces or better. Nevada’s paytable, which matches the ACT Super Aces Bonus, is below.

HandAA pays
Royal flush100:1
Straight flush50:1
Four of a kind40:1
Full house30:1
Flush20:1
Straight, three of a kind, two pair or pair of aces7:1

Nevada adds that players must call to win on the AA bet.

Live poker: other tables beside Casino Hold’em

Evolution’s live poker hub lists Casino Hold’em next to 2 Hand Casino Hold’em, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and Side Bet City. To see which poker tables the lobby holds, open the Live Casino page, pick a studio tab and look through its tables.

Evolution prints no RTP for Casino Hold’em. Pair this page with the round of Color Game Live, the Crazy Time tracker page or the Banker bet commission rules.

FAQ

How much is the call bet in Casino Hold'em?

The ACT rules say a call is a wager of exactly twice the ante. Folding loses the ante and any bonus wager.

What does the dealer need to qualify?

The ACT rules say a pair of fours or higher. Nevada's live document says qualification is examined without printing the threshold, so read your table's rules panel.

Is there a published RTP for Casino Hold'em?

None of the rules documents or Evolution's page read for this site prints one. Look in the table's own info panel.

Is Casino Hold'em the same as Texas Hold'em?

No. Evolution describes Casino Hold'em as a variant of five-card poker in which players play against the house, not each other.
