JILI1 Responsible Play: Limits, Exclusion and Help
Responsible play in the Philippines
Gambling is for adults aged 21 and over, and it should stay fun. PAGCOR requires gaming establishments and online platforms to follow its Responsible Gaming Code of Practice, which aims to minimise harm to players, prevent gambling addiction and stop underage gambling. Before you open the JILI1 casino lobby, settle your limits first.
Signs that play has stopped being fun
PAGCOR’s responsible-gaming page lists the warning signs.
- Spending or betting more than you meant to.
- Gambling for longer than you planned.
- Chasing losses.
- Debt or missed bills, or borrowing or selling belongings to play.
- Constant thoughts of gambling.
- Strained relationships, hopelessness, anxiety or depression.
One sign is enough reason to stop for the day and talk to someone. Telling a friend, a relative or one of the help centres below is not a weakness, and it works better the earlier you do it.
Practical limits
PAGCOR’s reminders are simple. Gambling is not a source of income, so set a time limit for each session, never borrow money or use all your resources, and do not chase your losses. A ₱500 session budget, as an example, means the session ends when the ₱500 is gone, whatever the next spin might do.
Write the limit down before you start, and when the session timer or the budget runs out, close the lobby. A wallet’s own account limits cap what a wallet can send, but they are not gambling limits, so the limit that protects you is the one you set yourself. The glossary explains the meaning of a loss limit and the meaning of bankroll management in plain words.
Exclusion options from PAGCOR
PAGCOR publishes a self-exclusion scheme with periods of 6 months, 1 year or 5 years, which lift automatically afterwards. The first six months are irrevocable. You apply through PAGCOR’s Online Self-Exclusion Application Portal at osea.pagcor.ph, and PAGCOR says exclusion is implemented across all sites licensed and operated by PAGCOR.
A spouse, child or parent can apply for family exclusion of 6 months, 1 year or 3 years. It needs the respondent’s ID and photos, the applicant’s ID, and a birth or marriage certificate.
Help lines
PAGCOR’s responsible-gaming page lists accredited help centres, and these numbers are as that page gives them.
